Sketches: shasta daisies and a bouquet of flowers.

Such lovely work…

I love the big summer Shasta daisies…they provide the most beautiful splotches of white colour in the garden, especially in the evenings.

I received a lovely bouquet of flowers from our neighbors this past weekend…Gerbera daises, Gypsophillas, and dark red cockscombs.

Sundown between tulips by rnijholt

Such a lovely interpretation of tulips! The sinewy leaves are a work of art. I also love the sun shining in the background and the blurry suggestion of a field bursting with additional flowers in the background. This photographer truly made a fantastic photograph, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Many Parts

Intricate:  : having many complexly interrelating parts or elements

This week’s The Daily Post Photo Challenge asked for photos that depict something intricate.  I went for an early morning drive around our downtown area, looking for things that fell under this category.  Luckily, I stumbled upon several treasures, and have shared my favorites below.  I hope you enjoy the many intricacies of this post.

Pretty in Pink

I just love it when a plant attracts both butterflies and hummingbirds to a garden.  What a big bang for your buck in terms of a flower!  This beauty not only does all of that, it comes back every year, so there’s not much to fuss about once the flower is planted!  Lovely.
