Here is my answer to this week’s Daily Post photo challenge. The challenge was to post something vibrant, so I decided to share this photo of bicycles I found lined up in Nashville, Tennessee. I have an older post that talks about my trip into the city the day I captured these, so feel free to check that out here. If you want to read more about the photo challenge and get involved, which I highly encourage, you can access that here.
The Daily Post challenge this week surrounds the word “enveloped.” I spent the morning searching for a subject that would successfully answer the challenge and finally found an old building in town that was being devoured by plants nearby. I love how the blanket of green seems to make the concrete feel a little less cold.
This week, The Daily Post photo challenge was to depict motion and tell the story behind a photo.
This photo depicts the lead singer of a post-hardcore band called Wolves at the Gate. I was lucky enough to be in the second row of the audience when he gave his all to a note! The mic cable was swinging wildly and his voice was loud and piercing as the microphone hovered over his mouth and took it all in. Such passion is rare and beautiful.
I was glad I got up to capture this beautiful dandelion bathing in the early morning sun for The Daily Post Photo Challenge: Early Bird. Playing with light in photography is definitely one of my new favorite things!
